A CHINESE EMBROIDERY ON SILK OF SCHOLARS IN A BAMBOO GROVE
QING DYNASTY
Embroidered on a blue panel with silk and couched gold thread with seven scholars in a bamboo grove discussing a scroll, 99.5cm x 84cm.
Provenance: purchased by Mr John Reid in Yokohama in the late 19th century and thence by descent.
