A CHINESE POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE AND RIDER
TANG DYNASTY 618-907 AD
The rider with hair arranged in an elaborate style and with a bundle tied around his waist, his robe and the horse's features picked out in pigments, all raised on a rectangular base, 39.4cm.
Provenance: purchased from Priestley and Ferraro in the 1990s.
Together with a copy of a Thermoluminescence Analysis Report, sample no.866e22 dated 13th March 1997.
