A PAIR OF CHINESE ARMORIAL PLATES

C.1772

Decorated with the arms of Pitt impaling Grenville, flanked by a lion and a stag with the motto Benigno Numine (By the Favour of the Heavens), the rims with flower sprays, coronetted initials and further crests of storks and anchors, 22.5cm. (2)
