A LARGE JAPANESE EMBROIDERED PANEL

MEIJI 1868-1912

Depicting two confronting three-clawed dragons on a dense ground of leaves and flowerheads, the triple hollyhock mon for the Tokugawa family between them, the borders with phoenix and clouds on a dark blue ground, 147cm x 109.5cm.
