A JAPANESE SATSUMA SQUARE-SECTION VASE AND COVER
MEIJI 1868-1912
Each side painted with chrysanthemum and butterflies before mountainous landscapes, the shoulder and lid with flowerheads, leaves and geometric designs on a gosu blue ground, raised on four short bracket feet, the base inscribed 'Dai Nihon Satsuma yaki Hyokoseki kore zo' under the Shimazu mon, 19.5cm.
