A SMALL JAPANESE KOMAI-STYLE BOX AND COVER
MEIJI 1868-1912
In the shape of a karabitsu (a traditional treasure chest), the body decorated with sakura flowers, buds and scrolling leaves inlaid in silver and gold on a dark ground, raised on six elegantly curved legs, the base inscribed Yoshitoyo saku (made by Yoshitoyo), 12.1cm. (2)
