A rare Capodimonte soup tureen and cover c.1755, possibly modelled by Giuseppe Gricci, the deep U-shape form lightly moulded with vertical panels and a band of horizontal ribs, applied with enamelled fruiting grapevine, gilt highlights, some damages and restoration, 33cm. (2)
Cf. Christie's, 29th November 2011, lot 69 for a wine cooler with remarkably similar decoration and moulding.
