A Martin Brothers stoneware vase by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1875, flaring form with inverted rim, modelled to the side with an owl mask, incised with a medieval fisherman, unhooking his catch, glazed in blue, green and brown on a buff ground, with incised plaque to the side 'Martin London', incised E32 RWMartin London 5-1875, professional restoration to top rim, 16cm high
