A Victorian painted Special Constable's truncheon, with a ribbed handle, the butt impressed 'FIELD 233 HOLBORN', with a leather strap and a leather spring loaded case, 42cm long, together with the original letter from the Metropolitan Police District appointing Charles Claremont Atclusiou as a Special Constable on the 18th December 1867.
