Description
A late Victorian walnut reading table by Leveson & Sons, with an adjustable slope and a ratcheted bookrest, with an applied ivorine plaque inscribed 'LEVESON & SONS, 90 NEW OXFORD ST. W. C. & 21, PARK SIDE, KNIGHTSBRIDGE, LONDON & MANCHESTER, LIVERPOOL, LEEDS', on ceramic castors, 117.8cm high (max), 79.5cm wide, 42cm deep.
Leveson & Sons were active between c. 1870-1915 and specialized in mechanical and invalid furniture.
