λ A Chinese Macao carved ivory 'bust' chess set, the natural king and queen modelled on George III and Queen Charlotte, the stained red set as the Chinese Emperor and Empress, the bishops as clergy or mandarins, the knights as horses and the rooks as turrets the natural with the union flag, early 19th century, the king: 10.2cm high, the pawn: 5.4cm high.
