λ A set of four 19th century French Dieppe carved ivory figures, emblematic of the four seasons, modelled as a cherub, winter: wearing a fur coat and holding coals, spring: holding a basket of flowers, summer: with sheaves of wheat and autumn: with a basket of fruit, each mounted on a turned and ebonised socle, 20.9cm high.
