probably Scandinavian, circa 1689,
oval form, the hinged cover with a relief of a battle scene, the sides with foliate scroll decoration, the base inscribed ' The Gift of J. Jergenson to S.W, Augost 29, 1689, in Gottend', length 5.5cm, approx. weight 1.2oz.
