A Victorian silver-gilt 'castle-top' vinaigrette, Abbotsford House,
by Gervase Wheeler, Birmingham 1838,
rectangular form, the hinged cover with a raised view of the House, the interior with a silver-gilt pierced and engraved foliate scroll grille, lacking pin, foliate scroll borders, the sides and base with engraved tartan decoration, the base with a vacant cartouche, length 4cm, approx. weight 0.9oz.
