This picture by the Dutch artist Pieter Van Bloeman (1657-1719) - and a good example of his work hung at Vale Royal in the days of the 1st  ….. Delamere  It was given by the 2nd Lord Delamere to his brother Rev. Henry Pitt Cholmondeley Rector of Adlestrop Rectory in the county of Glocs. Having remained at Adelstrop some 60 years ago it passed in1937 into the possession of Henry Arthur Cholmondeley Esq of Shotton Hall,  Salop, wo had picture and frame thoroughly restored by Miss Clarke and Sons, Jermyn Street London
