Three Tonga tapa cloths
Polynesia
one decorated with crowns, birds, stars, Koekaluni, triple sceptres,
246 x 356cm,
and two with differing triangular motifs, including spider webs. (3)

Dr Elizabeth Spillius, London.
Collected whilst in Tonga between 1958 - 60, where she was studying Polynesian monarchy and kinship in collaboration with Queen Salote.
