λ A late 19th century German carved ivory cup and cover, with a standing warrior finial, with his trusty hound, above massacred enemies, the body relief carved with a Greek classical battle scene, with the Amazon tribe of women warriors, on a figural stem with further defeated enemies on a circular base, the inside carved with a coat of arms, 34.5cm high.
Provenance: From a distinguished naval family.
