Description

A pair of French Empire porcelain and ormolu mounted urns, the mounts attributed to Pierre-Philippe Thomire, of amphora shape, each with an acanthus and anthemion decorated top, with scroll handles and satyr masks terminals, the ovoid fond ecaille (faux tortoiseshell) bodies possibly by Sèvres or Dihl & Guerhard above a laurel wreath mounted square plinth base, 48.6cm high.
