the spot-hammered bowl with a beaded border, the pull-off cover with chased feather decoration and with a cross finial set with amethysts and rubies, knopped foliate stem, on a raised spread circular foot embossed with ornamental doves, trailing vines and grapes, with a stylised border, applied with a chi rho within an amethyst border, gilded bowl, the body with traces of gilding, height 33cm, approx. weight 28.5oz.
