Description

An impressive diamond solitaire ring by Cartier, the round brilliant-cut diamond weighs 3.48cts and is set within single-cut diamond shoulders in platinum, signed Cartier to the inner shank with maker's mark JC and London date marks for 1976. The shank was replaced by Cartier for the original owner in 1976, size R ½

Accompanied by report number 1138052974 dated 11th August 2017 from GIA, New York stating that the round brilliant-cut diamond weighs approximately 3.48cts and is a natural diamond with D colour, IF clarity and strong fluorescence

Accompanied by original purchase receipt from Cartier, 175-176 New Bond Street dated May 7th 1962 for £7,500.

Accompanied by a copy of the invoices from the polishers explaining that the stone was repolished from 3.61ct (as stated in the Cartier invoice of 1962) to 3.48ct (as stated in the GIA certificate of August 2017)
