A LARGE TIBETAN BRASS FLASK

19TH CENTURY

Cast in the form of a toad, the front decorated with a double vajra and a lotus flower in roundels, the neck with a conch shell, with elements inlaid with coral and malachite and two handles with attached leather straps, all raised on a flared foot, 34cm.

Provenance: from the collection of Dr J S Gordon, purchased from Spink & Son Ltd, on 12th November 1993, the original invoice is available.
