A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE BELT BUCKLE
18TH CENTURY
Carved as a lavishly caparisoned elephant turning his head to the side, with a small boy on his back, holding a large blossom, the stone with russet markings, two studs to the reverse, together with a wood stand, 8.3cm. (2)
Provenance: from the collection of Mrs S B Milne d.2012, purchased in Singapore c.1953.
