A CHINESE BROWN-GROUND SILK 'NINE DRAGON' ROBE, JIFU
19TH CENTURY
Embroidered with silk and gold thread with nine dragons amongst clouds chasing sacred jewels above stylised rocks and waves, cranes and other auspicious things, 208cm across.
Provenance: Mr Maurice Demets, acquired in China c.1930.
