A LARGE CHINESE COURT PAINTING ON PAPER
18TH CENTURY
Depicting four ladies, an attendant and fifteen small boys playing in a garden beneath trees, one of the small boys is handing the seated lady a pomegranate, another child carries a branch with two further fruit, one of them split revealing many seeds (and thus representing the wish for many sons), framed and glazed, 116cm x 59cm.
