A FINE CHINESE GILT DECORATED SOAPSTONE SNUFF BOTTLE
18TH/19TH CENTURY
With a flattened ovoid body, carved with an intricate openwork cash design to one side and quatre-lobed panel to the reverse, with a spray of peonies in shallow relief against a dense wave pattern, with a band of ruyi-heads to the shoulder, the buff stone with red striations, 4.5cm.
