TWO CHINESE SOAPSTONE UNCUT SEALS

QING DYNASTY

Carved as sections of bamboo, one with a large beetle to the top, both with further bamboo stems and leaves to the sides, 7.6cm. (2)

Provenance: acquired in China during the 1950s by the former Dutch ambassador Gerard Dissevelt (1912-1992).
