A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ENAMEL BOXES AND COVERS
LATE QING DYNASTY
Each with a compressed circular body raised on a flared waisted foot, painted with cartouches containing various figures in landscapes against a blue ground with dense decoration of flowers, fruit, fans and scrolls, six character Qianlong seal marks to the bases, 22.5cm. (4)
Provenance: formerly in the collection of Henry Cahill Sheridan, Assistant Director General of the Indian Post Service, acquired c.1900.
