A CHINESE SILVERED BRONZE MIRROR
PROBABLY TANG DYNASTY
Cast in shallow relief with a central boss surrounded by a square frame with three characters along each side, stylised floral motifs and studs, the surface of the front and reverse with malachite encrustations, 15.3cm, 588g.
Provenance: from the collection of Francis Golding (1944-2013), purchased from Michael Willcox on 2nd July 2007, a copy of the original invoice is available.
