A JAPANESE KOMAI IRON PLATE
20TH CENTURY
Decorated in nunome zogan (gold and silver inlays) with Daikoku carrying a large sack over his shoulder, a mallet in his right hand and a tether in the other attached to the tail of a dressed rat, raised on three bracket feet, with the seal mark for Komai Seibei/Otojiro II under a two character inscription for Kinzan (gold mine, possibly relating to the riches in the god's bag), 25.9cm.
