A Japanese dagger (tanto), blade 8 in., hira-zukuri with undulating hamon and distinct boshi, silvered habaki with nekogaki, shakudo tsuba with applied leaves to a nanako ground, matching fuchi and kashira depicting musical instruments or toys, paired menuki in the form of rats, plain laquered saya, associated kogatana with kozuka adapted from cutlery and depicting a sword maker.
