Two Indonesian silver spittoons,
tapering circular and baluster form, one with a plain border, the other with a scroll border, one inscribed to base, heights 16.8cm and 15.5cm. (2)
Provenance: Mrs. Agnes Van Gessler Verschuir, wife of Peter Rudolf Wolter van Gessler Verschuir, Governor of Yogyakarta, Java from 1929 to 1932, and thence by descent to the current owner.
