An Indonesian silver bowl,
by Agnes Van Gessler Verschuir, circa 1930,
circular form, chased foliate decoration, on a matted background, the centre with engraved decoration, on a carved wooden plinth, diameter 23cm. (2)
Provenance: Mrs. Agnes Van Gessler Verschuir, wife of Peter Rudolf Wolter van Gessler Verschuir, Governor of Yogyakarta, Java from 1929 to 1932, and thence by descent to the current owner.
