Description
A Deruta or Marchigiana berettino maiolica syrup or wet drug jar 1st half 17th century, the ovoid body painted in blue with a cartouche inscribed 'S D ENDIVIA' amidst stylized oak leaves reserved on a pale blue ground, with a double scroll handle and short, straight spout, some restoration, 21cm.
Provenance: formerly in the collection of H E Brocksom.
