Description
A Bilston enamel patch box c.1770-80, the circular lid printed in dark purple with a gentleman playing the flute to his companion who sits reading from a book, reserved within a scroll border on a pink ground, the base printed with fisherman hauling in a catch before a sailing boat, the interior fitted with a convex mirror and inscribed 'Ecouté ma Beauté', 5cm across.
