Description
A rare boxed set of six Mennecy knives c.1740, the moulded pistol hafts painted in Kakiemon enamels with flowering sprays issuing from a blue leaf scroll, the blades impressed BOOG, contained in a later fitted wooden box lined with red velvet.
Provenance: from a private collection in Somerset.
