Description
A rare Derby small basket and cover c.1765, the rounded sides moulded with hatched banding and applied with yellow flowerheads at the intersections, the pierced cover applied with further flowers and leaves, the finial formed as a small yellow bird, the whole raised on a scrolled base picked out with gilding, a few small chips, 15.5cm high.
