A Victorian lacquered brass monocular microscope by Elliott Bros., the tube with rack and pinion focusing, signed to the base 'Elliott Bros. 449 Strand London', on a mahogany plinth that slides into the original mahogany case, with brass carrying handle, 31.8cm high.
