Description
A late George III mahogany longcase clock by John Price Chichester, the eight day movement with an anchor escapement and five turned pillars striking on a bell, the 12in brass arched dial with Roman and Arabic numerals to the silvered dial, with subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed 'John Price Chichester', with four season spandrels and Strike/Silent dial to the arch, with a pagoda top hood and a Gothic ogee trunk door, 227.5cm high.
