Description

A George III ebonised bracket clock by John Ward London, the twin fusee movement with a verge escapement and striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with Rococo scrolls and leaves, the arched dial with three silvered dials with Roman and Arabic numerals, with subsidiary Strike/Silent and seconds dial, with date aperture and gilt foliate spandrels, inscribed 'John Ward Cripplegate Buildings LONDON', the ebonised case with a bell top and brass handle and flaming urn finials, the front door with herm and floral mounts, on brass feet, 49.5cm high.
