maker's mark only GC, possibly for George Christie, Edinburgh circa 1800,
rounded rectangular form, the double hinged cover with an engraved border and inscribed 'Thomas Affleck', engraved borders, gilded interior, the hinged base with a compartment for toothpicks, length 9.4cm, approx. weight 4.1oz.
