A pair of George III silver sauce tureens and covers,

oval form, reeded scroll handles, the pull-off covers with urn finials, on raised oval bases, engraved with an armorial, length 22.3cm, approx. weight 31oz. (2)

Provenance: Rare Art (London), 27 April 2004.

The arms are those of Winstanton of Cheshire impaling Stanley.
