A pair of Enoch Wood pearlware theatrical figures c.1830, of John Liston in two of his comic roles, one as Sam Swipes from Exchange No Robbery, the square base inscribed 'No am I a Gentleman? Upon your Soul tho' Mother', the other as Van Dunder from T'would Puzzle a Conjuror, dressed in comical Elizabethan costume and holding a scroll, the base inscribed 'Read it indeed that's very easily said, read it', impressed numbers to both, one impressed WOOD, a restored chip to the scroll, 18.5cm max.
