Description
A fine Turkish flintlock rifle, approximately 20 bore, swamped and fluted barrel 29.5 in., each flute inlaid with a fine line of gold dots, the intervening area of domed cross section, retained to the stock by four chased silver bands, tang and back sight decorated with gold and silver koftgari; double bridle lock of European type (possibly of French manufacture), with rain proof pan and swan necked cock, the whole profusely decorated with gold koftgari; stocked to within 3.5 in. of the muzzle, steel trigger guard with silver koftgari, the grip carved with scrolling foliage.
