Description

An 18th Century Continental 14 bore flintlock musket, probably French, barrel 36.5 in, with brass front sight and a sighting groove in the tang, hooked breech, steel lock with swan necked cock and grooved frizzen, full stock with carved apron and brass furniture, the butt plate engraved with a stand of arms, steel ramrod; together with a 14 bore miquelet lock musket, two stage barrel 37 in., lock with ornate cock and large external mainspring, full stock with heavy carved butt and integral carved trigger guard; and a 19th Century 18 bore percussion sporting gun, three-stage barrel 28 in., hooked breech, acanthus engraved lock and tang, chequered half stock, wooden ramrod.
