Description

A pair of fine .47 caliber German rifled percussion target pistols by Sauer, slightly swamped sighted hexagonal barrels 6.5 in., top flats with 'I.G. SAUER IN SUHL'* inlaid in white metal, drift adjustable fore sights, engraved breeches and tangs; border and scroll engraved locks and hammers, external springs for nipple covers (lacking), detented tumblers and adjustable triggers; full stocks with engraved white metal furniture including ornate side nail cups, horn fore end caps, carved acanthus leaves encroaching on chequered grip panels, horn tipped wooden ramrods; each numbered '536' to the butt caps and to the barrels.
