Description
A late 18th/early 19th Century French pistol from the Versailles factory, swamped octagonal barrel 9 in., sighted and with multi-groove rifling; lock engraved 'Manufacture Versailles', converted to percussion (lacking hammer), tumbler with detente, adjustable trigger; half-stock with steel furniture, trigger guard of characteristic French form and with finger spur, chequered grip.
