A French 68 bore four shot 'pepperbox' percussion revolver of 'Mariette' type, the 3 in. damascus turn-off barrels numbered 1 to 4, rotating block with partitioned horizontally aligned nipples, acanthus engraved steel action and frame, self-cocking lock with hammer acting against the lowest nipple, ring trigger, fluted ebony grips.
