A CHINESE FAHUA FIGURE OF WENCHANG WANG LATE MING DYNASTY Seated on a throne, wearing long flowing robes, an ornate belt and an official headdress, glazed in dark blue and turquoise enamel with his head and one hand left unglazed, 28cm. Provenance: the property of a gentleman. Wenchang Wang is the Daoist God of Culture and Literature, he is celebrated by scholars attending the official examinations.
