Description

A Charles II Anglo-Dutch walnut and marquetry cabinet on later stand, inlaid with pewter stringing and natural and green stained bone, with panels of fruitwood flowers and leaves on an ebony ground, the moulded cornice above a cushion drawer, with a pair of cupboard doors with oval panels decorated with Roman style centurions, enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers, surrounding a cupboard door inlaid with an urn of flowers and a bird, with four further drawers, all with gilt brass foliate handles, the stand with a conforming frieze drawer, on faceted tapering oak legs united by peripheral stretchers, 159.3cm high, 112cm wide, 48.5cm deep.
