λ A set of six 19th century English carved ivory portrait reliefs, of Richard III, Queen Catherine of Aragon, Julius Caesar, Queen Elizabeth of York, Mary Queen of Scots and Lady Jane Grey, each on an oval panel and within a ribbon tied wreath and mounted on a brown velvet panel, with hand written paper labels to verso and with an easel back, 21.5 x 15.3cm (overall). (6)
Provenance: By repute, Frances Waldegrave, Countess Waldegrave (1821-1879), possibly at Strawberry Hill, Twickenham.
